Institute of Real Estate Management 

The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) is an international community of real estate managers across all property types dedicated to ethical business practices and maximizing the value of investment real estate. An affiliate of the National Association of Realtors®, IREM has been a trusted source for knowledge, advocacy and networking for the real estate management community for more than 77 years.

IREM is the only professional real estate management association serving both the multi-family and commercial real estate sectors and has 80 U.S. chapters, 13 international chapters, and several other partnerships around the globe.  Worldwide membership includes nearly 18,000 individual members and over 535 corporate members.

IREM promotes ethical real estate management practices through its credentialed membership programs, including the Certified Property Manager® (CPM®) designation, the Accredited Residential Manager® (ARM®) certification, the Accredited Commercial Manager (AcoM) certification, and the Accredited Management Organization® (AMO®) accreditation. These esteemed credentials certify competence and professionalism for those engaged in real estate management. IREM also offers CPM® Candidate, Associate, Student, and Academic memberships. All members are bound by the strictly enforced IREM® Code of Professional Ethics.

Washington Multi-family Housing Association

The Washington Multi-Family Housing Association (WMFHA) is the Washington State chapter of the National Apartment Association. They are a collection of over 55 Property Management companies, over 350 Apartment Communities, representing over 82,000 apartment homes, and over 100 suppliers working together to promote and enrich the multi-family housing industry in Washington state.

One of their primary objectives is to actively monitor and influence the legislative process. WMFHA has a full time lobbyist representing the multifamily housing industry in Olympia. As an affiliate of the National Apartment Association (NAA), and through a joint legislative alliance with the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) they make sure we stay informed of regulatory requirements that affect business and professional licensing or educational requirements as well as taxation, environmental issues, and building codes.

As stated in the WMFHA mission statement, their goal is to promote professionalism through education. As an affiliate of the NAA, they offer nationally recognized professional designation programs. These programs are widely respected for their rigorous and comprehensive approach to career development in the multifamily housing industry. Professional credentials in multi-site property supervision (CAPS), apartment management (CAM), leasing (NALP), maintenance (CAMT).

Multi-Family Suppliers Forum

The Multi-Family Suppliers Forum (MFSF) is a newly formed organization made up of suppliers to the multi-family housing industry.  Participants include flooring companies, advertising agents, remodelers, and utility billings services, to name a few.  MFSF’s purpose is to establish a voice as suppliers and to encourage participation in local and national programs, all while supporting and strengthening their network as vendors.

American Staffing Association

The American Staffing Association (ASA) promotes legal, ethical, and professional practices for the staffing industry.  The ASA is the voice of the U.S. staffing industry. ASA and its affiliated chapters advance the interests of staffing and recruiting firms of all sizes and across all sectors through legal and legislative advocacy, public relations, education, and the promotion of high standards of legal, ethical, and professional practices. ASA members provide the full range of employment and work force services and solutions, including temporary and contract staffing, recruiting and permanent placement, outplacement and outsourcing, training, and human resource consulting.

As a condition of membership in the American Staffing Association, each member pledges its support of, and adherence to, the principles and practices and a code of ethics.
